Tea tasting

According to a legend, tea was accidentally discovered by the Chinese emperor Shen Nung, who wanted to chill in the shade one hot summer night way back in 2374 BC. The summer breeze carried some leaves from a nearby bush into his boiled water, which he only noticed as he brought the cup up to his lips and smelled the wonderful aroma of this concoction. A new drink was born, healing young and old, rich and poor all over the world ever since.

In the vicinity of Rogaška, in a town called Olimje, the friars also have a long-standing, centuries-old tradition of picking over 200 types of medicinal herbs they plant in their own herbal garden. During our tea tasting, you will be able to sample 4 healing teas from their herbal pharmacy every week.
